Summer Learning Journey| Nano girl fingerprint

Hello welcome back to my blog

Today I will be doing another activity of the summer learning journey. This activity is from nano girl and teaches you about fingerprints and ways to see what kind of fingerprints you have. Everyone has different fingerprints. Fingerprint types are loop, whorl and arch. Now the method I used was the blue tack where i press my finger down on some blue tack.

  1. Kia ora Lyah,

Great job thinking like an investigator and looking at your fingerprints in this activity. Did you learn something about using science to solve crime?

Did you figure out what pattern your fingerprint is? Mine is a loop! It's tricky to figure out because they’re all very similar patterns!

Was it difficult to see the fingerprint on the blutack? Did you try any other method of seeing your fingerprint?

Keep up the good mahi, I hope you are having a fantastic summer.

    Ngā mihi,
    Lauren

  2. Thanks for an informative introduction Lyah.
I know that we all have individual finger prints. It's a bit like the patterns on a zebra. No 2 zebra patterns are the same.

What other tools could you use to make a finger print?.
I was thinking of placing your finger in paint or some in.Maybe even in some sand but I don't know how well the print would show.

Thanks for sharing and I hope you are having a great holiday while you're completing all these activities :)
