Today I will be doing another Activity of the winter learning journey. The activity that I am doing says would you rather

a)live in Burkina Faso

       or

b)live in Verkhoyansk 

You will need to find out a little bit about both places and share your answer on your blog.

Verkhoyansk  is located in Russia at the Sakha republic which is in the North Eastern part in Russia. Verkhoyansk one of the coldest places in Russia. Some of the temperature's there average in winter is about -58 that s much more than New Zealand's temperature in winter. 

Burkina Faso is located in Africa near the western part of Africa. In Burkina Faso Hottest Temperature is 47 degree. That is way hotter that New Zealand's Hottest Temperature

In conclusion I would choose Verkhoyansk. Goodbye have a nice day 

 

    

Winter Learning Journey/Activity 1

 Hello welcome back to my blog

Today I will be doing another activity of the winter learning journey.The activity says Watch: Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes. Do : Make your own paper crane. I search on YouTube how to make a paper crane and followed the steps to make it. Surprisingly it had a lot of steps and it was a bit confusing. I made 2 of paper cranes but the second didn't turn out good so I will just be showing my first one. Good bye and have a nice day.

Winter Learning Journey/Activity 11

Today I will be doing another activity of the winter learning journey. The activity I chose activity. The activity says chose a well known sport from your " country of study". Yabusame is a sport from Japan which uses a horse,a track about  255 metres long and three wooden targets placed about 70 metres apart on one side of the track.An archer on horseback starts at one end of a roped-off track around 255 metres long, and gallops down it at high speed. Without stopping or slowing down, he fires three arrows in succession

Today I will be doing activity 18 of the winter leaning journey. The activity says to use google drawing to reproduce the flag of our country of study. The country I chose was Japan. Mine was similar to  the original but I just put in a bit of stuff. Surprisingly this one was very easy and fast to finish. I would like to do this to other countries flags. Winter learning Journey/ Activity 13

 Hello welcome back to my blog 

Today I will be doing activity 13. It says Explain 5 reason why you might want to become a citizen of your country of study. The country I chose is Japan. Here are my reasons of wanting to become a citizen of Japan.

Reason number 1: It has a lot of beautiful landscapes that most people wanna visit so if you decided to stay as citizen there. You would be there for the beautiful landscapes to become even more beautiful . Like the cherry blossoms.

Reason number 2: They have really cool foods and gadgets that most people want. If you live there you can just have a small walk and find vending  machines and cool corner stores.

Reason number 3: Most people see 180 yen I think its 180 dollars but in reality in usd(USA dollars) Its only 1.63 that's so much  less than 180 dollars.

Reason number 4: Japan is a bit to advanced than most country's because most of there hotel staff or restaurants waiters are robots. There is one hotel with no staff just robots.

Reason number 5: In Japan there crime rate is so low only 1 in 175 households have guns that is less than most country's.

That is why I might want to  become a citizen to Japan. Goodbye and have a nice day  

  

   

Papier Mache

 Hello Welcome back to my Blog 

Hello I have been learning about the native birds. I had to make a paper mache. There where a few steps we had to do before we started. Step one was to choose what native bird you wanted to do. Me and Buddy chose a weka. Next we had to Shape the bird out of wire. Then we started paper macheing. We first had to do a few layers of newspaper.

 Then a few layers of white paper. We had to make sure that there were no lumps and sticky out bits. Then we had to trace out the eyes and other features. After I was done doing that we had to start to paint.
